It is impossible to avoid looking over to the Brocken when we are standing on the Wurmberg. There is nothing to be done in the fog and we can see - nothing. So we just have to imagine the otherwise uplifting view. And hopefully we have all gotten more or less used to the spruce trees destroyed by the bark beetle. The forest is already in the process of rebuilding and will surely surprise us with a new face over the years.
