The buildings of the original glassworks date back to the 1830s. The complex consists of a production hall, the administrative villa, and an elongated row of buildings. Workers and their families both worked here and lived directly at their workplaces. The site now houses a museum that provides an excellent overview of the industrial history and the processing of ore in and around Stolberg. Highly recommended.
In the Zinkhütter Hof there is now an interesting museum on the topics of industry, mobility and economy. In the modernized building, which has retained its special character, you will immerse yourself in the regional industrial history with a focus on brass, zinc, needles and mobility.
