in the immediate vicinity of the Halterner reservoir🌊 and the eponymous district of Westrup🧭,
the approximately 90 hectare Westruper Heide🪻🌿 extends over dune terrain.
This beautiful heath landscape was declared a nature reserve in 1937.

The Westruper Heide is a great nature reserve and is particularly beautiful when the heather is in bloom. It is very busy at weekends and the Halterner See and the climbing forest are also in the immediate vicinity.
