The sacred well of Tattinu stands amidst the woods and fields of asphodel in the eponymous locality on the slopes of Mount Tamara, in the territory of Nuxis, a small town in the Sulcis region, dotted with vestiges of the past. The first and most obvious difference compared to the "canonical" Nuragic sacred wells is the apparent absence of a vestibule or any other visible structure. The stairs, with 28 steps, form a rectangular space with the water chamber, just over eight meters long and just over one meter wide. The well itself has a "bottle-shaped" section with an elliptical plan, also unusual. It is approximately five meters high and has a tholos roof. It was built using limestone blocks interspersed with pebbles.
