Right in the center of Ķemeri stands the sculpture “Ķemeru Annina” – a modern interpretation of a figure from Latvian history, inspired by a well-known song of the Latvian Riflemen. The sculpture is the work of the artists Kaspars Līdums and Mārtiņš Rozenfelds and consists of 3.5-meter-high aluminum plates arranged in layers, which create a unique optical illusion: depending on the angle of view, the silhouette changes, as if Annina were in motion.

The depiction of a young woman in the moment of walking conveys lightness and melancholy, while the lack of a pedestal allows the figure to become one with its surroundings. The sculpture does not stand in isolation, but is integrated into the small square through the surrounding landscaping with benches and lanterns. This modern work of art brings a touch of poetry to Ķemeri, subtly combining tradition and the present.
