The Isle au Haut Thorofare is a shipping passage between Isle au Haut and Kimball Island in Penobscot Bay southeast of the town of Stonington. The waterway provides protected access to the island's harbor. The approximately 365 m long channel was completed in 1958 when the shoal at the eastern end was removed.
