This installation here in the middle of the Peel, where it all happens, is made of birch that had to accommodate this development.

A monument to this reversal in the landscape: The vertical trunks of the forest must slowly give way and eventually merge with the horizontal layers of the raised bog package. The future will no longer be counted in annual rings but in layers of peat. "
