    In addition to cozy guest rooms and a large terrace with a view of the Zillertal mountains, there are 24 beds in shared rooms, 72 beds in the mattress dormitory and 8 beds in the emergency shelter. The hut is open from mid-June to the end of September.

      As a mountain hut, the Kasseler Hütte offers excellent and clean comfort in terms of sleeping and washing / showering facilities. The food tastes great, just a shame that there was no dessert with the half board;), as you know it from other mountain huts. From the terrace you have a phenomenal view of the mountains and the long valley.

        Hut is great, the hut host only comes across a little grumpy but is helpful.

          The Kasseler Hütte was a must-visit for me, as a DAV member in the Kassel section. Having already gained experience from crossing the Alps on the E5 in terms of huts, I have to say that overall this hut offers a great experience. It is not too big and therefore not overcrowded and offers a more comfortable flair.
          The young tenant couple with their equally young team seemed very friendly. The food was great and plentiful even for a big eater. I had a shared room and it was very clean and in great shape. Likewise, the sanitary facilities were without complaint. Unfortunately, it was very foggy during my stay, so I couldn't enjoy the view, but that's the way it is in the mountains.
          I can definitely recommend the hut, either as a transit station or as a base station for tours from there.

              The Kasseler Hütte is cozy and in a great location. The spa area (outdoor pool) offers a great view, but there is also a warm shower.
