Gran Vía is one of the main streets in the Spanish city of Madrid. It begins on Alcalá Street and ends in Plaza de España. Since its construction at the beginning of the 20th century, it has been an important landmark in the city from a commercial, tourist and leisure point of view. This famous boulevard connects the neighborhoods of Salamanca and Argüelles, and is home to shops, restaurants and some of the capital's most iconic buildings.
