The restaurant is located in the large building directly in front of the parking lot. The car park at Fjallsárlón is easily accessible with any type of car and is only 600 meters from the Ring Road No. 1. Parking is free. Behind the restaurant, a marked gravel path begins and leads to the lagoon, where visitors can find information boards with more details about the area.

This is a great place to get a quick fill-up, and Fjallsarlon is a sometimes overlooked glacier lagoon (compared with Jokullsarlon). The lagoon is really cool with a nice short loop walk. Then there is Frost, where you can get a buffet plate with one refill at a very reasonable price for this region. The special entree our day could be best described as a chicken pot pie without the crust - very filling and tasty. Salad and bread were available. Also, we had one of the better chocolate cakes of the trip, again, much lower priced than usual. Boat tours going off outside along the glacier.
