Completed in 1956 this palace was built for the 14th Dalai Lama. It has a variety of different rooms, and its architectural style is a mix of monastery, villa and palace. Many of the walls inside are covered in murals.
The building is also visited by many worshippers.
The building name comes with a variety of spellings, the title uses the Mandarin transcription. Others are: Takten Migyur Potrang.
