The Lehof, a striking Cretaceous sandstone rock, has been protected as a natural monument since 1934.
For centuries, the sandstone was mined here as a building material and the lookout tower also fell victim to the quarry.

There was probably a lookout at Lehof in days gone by. But there is nothing left of it today. But if you climb the sandstone rock, you will quickly understand why this is an excellent spot for a lookout: the view is incredible!

Most visitors usually have two options when they follow the field path towards the lookout:

The first goes steeply up the mountain to the right and is therefore an unmistakable way to reach the plateau.

The second leads straight ahead to the sand pit industrial complex, then makes a sharp turn and also leads quite gently to the plateau.

I prefer the second route, but take the steep path down.

On the plateau, you should note that the sandstone drops vertically very suddenly. You should therefore keep a close eye on children and dogs there. There are no railings or barriers and it is easy to slip up there.

Was formerly used as a quarry, an impressive rock that you can see from afar, but if you don't have a head for heights, you should be careful, the edge of the cliff falls vertically. Everyone else, of course, too. 🤗🤘😎
