At the beginning there is an information board with an overview of the area around Mount Aksla. In contrast to the ascent from Byparken with 418 steps, this hiking trail only begins with a short climb up steps which is interrupted by a small viewing platform with a bench. The path then goes uphill on gravel paths of easy to moderate difficulty and is easy to manage even in bad weather. There are numerous opportunities to take a break (benches/tables) along the entire path and you will be rewarded with great views of the city or the fjord. You should enjoy these as the Aksla and Kniven viewing points are very popular with tourists.
