Built in 1906 as a marina factory on the Vering Canal, it has been an important district cultural center since 1979. The name honey factory is not out of thin air, because honey was made here for several decades after the Second World War.

The honey factory socio-cultural center is located in the middle of Wilhelmsburg.
The range of offers there can hardly be summarized here: DJ evenings, live concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, flea markets, children's programs, cultural festivals and much more.
Wilhelmsburg is a particularly exciting and diverse district and is an island between Hamburg and Harburg.
The honey factory socio-cultural center is located in the heart of Wilhelmsburg.
Built in 1906, the building was originally used as a margarine factory and got its current name from an adjacent honey company.
Culturally, the district would have been a lot poorer in the last 20 years if the honey factory hadn't existed.
The range of offers there can hardly be summarized here:
DJ evenings, live concerts, theater performances, exhibitions, flea markets, children's programs, cultural festivals and much more.
There is also a car self-help center, a café, conference rooms that can be rented, a history workshop...
So long may the honey factory remain in operation!
