The Catholic Church of St. Mary in Genthin was built in 1902/03. It is a lavish, cross-shaped brick building in the neo-Romanesque style. Inside is a carving cross (1730) and a Gothic Madonna.
Today, the church serves worship throughout the year as well as conducting church concerts.

The church Maria Rosenkranzkönigin, also known as St. Mary's, is the parish church of the Catholic parish of St. Mary in Genthin, a small town in the district of Jerichower Land in Saxony-Anhalt. She belongs to the deanery Stendal of the Diocese of Magdeburg.
In the 16th century, Genthin became Protestant-Lutheran by the Reformation. In 1538 the first Lutheran preacher was hired in Genthin.

The Catholic Church of St. Mary was consecrated in 1902. It is located in Mühlenstraße / corner B1 Geschwister-Scholl-Straße.
Next to the entrance gate is a commemorative plaque on the peaceful revolution in the former GDR in October 1989.
