Lake Przytulskie is located in the Biebrza and Ełk river basins. It is located in three communes: Ełk, Świętajno and Olecko - within the Ełk Lake District. It is a typical gutter reservoir, with a well-developed shoreline. The lake basin has steep banks and a varied bottom. The lake's catchment area is drained by a dense network of small streams and drainage ditches. The shore of the lake is covered with hard vegetation, mainly common reed. The reservoir is located in a silence zone.
The villages of Leśniki, Przytuły and Gąski lie on the shores. The bottom of the lake is quite diverse, mostly hard and sandy near the shores.
