Particularly beautifully renovated half-timbered house at the Lower Gate, with a pretty fountain in front of it. The cultural monument is a Winkelhofreit and, with the courtyard at Kirchstrasse 2, forms a last, still intact part of the historical townscape: small, plastered house around 1800/1850 with a right-hand living area (couple windows) and a left-hand entrance zone. The barn is a later brick building around 1900. On the street, integrated into the courtyard wall, is a wayside shrine from the 19th century.
_ Georg and Bettina Gröschen from Waldbrunn-Ellar have turned the "Wellehannese-Haus" into a gem in the center of the town. For this, they received first prize in the Hessian Monument Protection Prize in the "private prize winners" category in 2021.
