This is Laboe Beach
The sandy beach of Laboe is located on the east bank of the Kiel Fjord, about 10 km north of Kiel.

Laboe is known for its beautiful, gently sloping beach. Here children can splash and play in the water. The perfect place for a family holiday.

Due to the close proximity to the Kiel Canal, cruise ships, ferries, sailing ships and container ships pass Laboe every day.

So you can watch a lot of things from your beach chair in complete relaxation, so you're sure not to get bored.

Just a shell's throw from the beach you can get some refreshment. Whether in the bistro, snack bar or restaurant - there is something for every taste here.

If you prefer something a little greener, you can take a walk through the dune landscape. Get to know the nature on the coast and its bird species.

If the weather isn't playing along, the whole family can visit the seawater swimming pool. Here you can swim in pure Baltic Sea water.

If you feel like getting some exercise, there is a wide range of activities on offer. From dinghy sailing, kite and windsurfing to stand-up paddling – Laboe is a hotspot for water sports enthusiasts.

The beach in Laboe is a classic Baltic Sea resort – fine, light sand, a shallow entrance into the cobalt-blue waters of the Kiel Fjord, and a stunning backdrop of sailing ships and cargo ships.

The highlight is the sandy beach between the former swimming pool and the naval memorial.
