Probably one of the most visited places in the South Island. Who seeks loneliness is wrong here. There is a campground / camperplace and toilets with water. Starting point for the hike to the Hooker Valley, the Alpine to Coast bike path and the way to Mueller Hut. If you plan on hiking to Mueller Hut you should leave early, rather in the morning. It is very small and not reservable. Probably then threatens a night on the hut floor.
