The Vaihingen town hall in the Renaissance style was rebuilt in its old location from 1720 onwards after long-term disputes between the Vaihingen citizens and the Ducal Württemberg administration after it burned down in 1693. As always, 1693 was the zero hour: burned down. Destroyed. But the reconstruction was even worse: miserably slow... It wasn't until 30 years later that the half-timbered building was built! …
