The castle Bieberstein is the ruin of a mountain castle on a 210 m above sea level. NHN high rock slope over the valley of the Wiehl at Bieberstein in the Oberbergischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The castle was built in the 14th century, its Ersturkundliche mention was made in 1342. It was once a mighty quarry stone construction of considerable wall thicknesses and received their present day still visible form in the late Middle Ages. The castle was inhabited until the 19th century, but then was abandoned, so that it decayed very much.

During research in 1933, a terraced basement was exposed. The legend of an underground passage that connected Bieberstein with the village of Grünenbach and over which the castle inmates are said to have supplied themselves with fresh food during siege, the researchers found not confirmed. There is also the legend that in the seventh basement of the castle should be a golden plow. This could neither be confirmed nor refuted. From the ruin today only wall remains and enclosing walls are preserved. The entrance to the cellar is no longer preserved.

Currently (now in November) the route is not recommended due to tree felling work and the path, if there is one, is muddy.
