At the train station in Hoting the domestic railway meets the Hoting-Forsmo route. However, there has been no passenger traffic on this since 1985. Only the Ådalslidens Järnvägsvänner association runs special rail bus trips on the route a few times a year. Freight traffic is primarily handled by Hector Rail and Inlandståget. The Inlandsbanan (Inlandsbanan) is a tourist attraction in central and northern Sweden. The almost 1,300 kilometer long railway line runs from Kristinehamn in the south via Mora and Östersund to Gällivare in Lapland. During the summer months, the diesel railcars run daily in both directions with stops at many stops.
