Marielyst is the pearl of Falster's east coast, with over 20 km of beautiful sandy beaches. The beach is child friendly, gently sloping, with shallow and calm waters and sandbanks. Here, the little ones can build beautiful sandcastles, with the family on the edge of the beach collect shells or visit a sheltered place in the dunes. Marielyst with its beach is situated in a protected location, bordered by the Falstrian dyke, which was built after the storm in 1872. The dike extends for 17 km along the east coast, with a beautiful bike and hiking trail in beautiful nature. At the marked point is the transition from the bar district in Marielyst to the guarded bathing beach and jetty. There are many guests here. Further south there are also quieter bathing beaches with wonderful sand and shallow water.
