ハイキング
The Schneckenbergla on the slope of the Burgberg in Erlangen. A quarry owned by the Pickelmann family was located here until 1885. In 1890 the hill consisting of sandstone rocks and spoil was sold to the beautification association. On the plateau there are two stone benches and a stone tablet that is reminiscent of the poet Friedrich Rückert. During his time in Erlangen, he often visited the small hill to enjoy the view of the Regnitz meadows, which has largely been lost today.
