Cádiz is an ancient port city in southwestern Spain, built on a strip of land surrounded by sea in the Andalusia region. The port is home to the Spanish Navy and grew in the 16th century as a base for exploration and trade. It has more than 100 watchtowers, including the iconic Torre Tavira, traditionally used to spot ships, and the 18th-century Cádiz Cathedral on the coast.

Cádiz is wonderful to explore on foot. Walk all the way around and through the many small streets where you can discover beautiful houses, a variety of shops, countless bars and restaurants, and then refresh yourself with a swim in the sea or just sit on the beach.
