“I was born as a son and over the years worked my way up to being a father – serving from the ground up, so to speak. I spent my first years in a lonely border house in the middle of the forest, in the upper Vogtland (born in Untergettengrün). My father was a border guard and also a happy and good person. The ‘Father and Son’ drawings are memories of my childhood, triggered by the joy of my own son” (Erich Ohser).

If you are interested, there is the e.o.plauen gallery in Plauen at Nobelstrasse 7, it is open Tuesday to Sunday and on public holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is definitely worth a visit!
