When 30 settlers settled in 1748, the need soon arose for a church of its own to attend church services. On 10/16 In 1754, the Pomeranian Military-Domain Chamber asked King Frederick II for permission to organize a fundraiser for the construction of a church in Leopoldshagen throughout Prussia.
The result was overwhelming. In a short time, 2,508 thalers were collected, thanks to which the construction of the church could be started quickly.

The Leopoldshagen Church is a Protestant half-timbered church from the 18th century (1753-55) in Leopoldshagen in Western Pomerania.
In 1748, King Friedrich II had a colony established and named it Leopoldshagen in honor of Prince Leopold Moritz of Anhalt-Dessau. All the houses look the same.
The church was built shortly after the town was founded by the Prussians. Highly recommended.
