An insider tip above the Schliersee: An inconspicuous but magical path branches off from the ascent path to the Bodenschneid, which leads you moderately upwards over the mountain side below the Westerberg. Below the top of the pass there is a bench and the most beautiful view of the Schliersee and the island of Wörth. There isn't much going on here - most visitors either stay down by the lake or look for the famous peaks of the Schliersee Mountains.
