Especially recommended with younger children. Lots of seating and some picnic options. Also several play equipment, a playground, quizzes and riddles for older children and everyone who enjoys it.

It is the oldest wildlife park in Saxony and is beautifully laid out. We were able to observe many animals such as lynx, polecats and wild horses. There are fallow deer, red deer and sika deer. We couldn't spot the fox and wolf. It makes sense to have binoculars with you.

After the Second World War, the Moritzburg game reserve was re-established in 1958. Since then it has been looked after by the forestry administration. Today the game reserve belongs to the Dresden forest district in the state-owned Sachsenforst.
As a special facility for public relations, the game reserve is, alongside Moritzburg Castle and the state stud farm, the third tourism service provider in the region with extraordinary potential in forest education and environmental education.
Visitors can relax and observe red and fallow deer, wild horses, mouflons, roe deer, sika deer, lynxes, wolves and wild cats in the forest on 43 hectares.

Opening hours:
March - October daily 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
November - February Sat, Sun, public holidays, Saxon holidays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
Due to construction work, last entry is 3 p.m.

Entrance fees:
Adults: EUR 5.00
Children 3 to 17 years: EUR 2.50
with volunteer card: 2.50 EUR
