St. Ansgari Church in Hage is one of the oldest churches in East Frisia.
From 1776 to 1783, Dirk Lohmann installed a new organ in the church using 17th-century materials.
In 1861, the Rohlfs brothers carried out work on the organ.
Restoration work by the Alfred Führer company in 1979 and 1987 returned the instrument to its original condition.

St. Ansgari Church in Hage is one of the oldest churches in East Frisia. Unfortunately, there is no exact date of its construction; it was probably built in the second half of the 13th century. In addition to the Romanesque style of the oldest part, Gothic elements are also present.
The oldest part of the church is the nave (around 1220), to which the west tower was added in 1250. The Romanesque brickwork is still clearly visible on the north side. The late Gothic choir was added at the end of the 15th century to replace the original apse.
