Popularly known by the title of Holy Cross, it was the grange of the Cathedral. Attested in the 13th century with the title of San Simone, seat of the rocchettini in the 16th and 17th centuries and remodeled several times, it was elevated to a parish church on 1 May 1927. In 1939 it was significantly enlarged, extending the presbytery.

The eighteenth-century exterior appears modest, with the exception of the graceful bell tower with a small dome covered in majolica. Inside, with sober baroque lines, the wooden statue of San Rocco stands out, by Gregorio Palmieri (1770), and the eighteenth-century marble altar cone of the Madonna della Sanità, coming from the church of Sant'Agostino. Furthermore, in the modern crypt there is a notable stone Pietà from the 15th century, placed to crown the tomb of the servant of God Monsignor. Felice Canelli (1880-1977), whose cause for beatification began on 25 March 2009.
