This column in Waxweiler, crowned with the Queen of Heaven, is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. If you make a pilgrimage on the Rhenish Way of St. James - coming from Cologne - through the Eifel in the direction of Trier, you will pass here on the stage from Prüm to Waxweiler. It was built in gratitude for the extensive preservation of the town of Waxweiler and its inhabitants from destruction during the Second World War.
