The cycle path between Tulln and Vienna on the left bank of the Danube is a little longer, but much more beautiful than the one on the right bank.
The first part from Vienna is almost constantly shaded by trees. From Greifenstein onwards it is completely open terrain. Beautiful view, but it could be very hot in summer.
