On the Caminho Histórico, the Moinhos do Paneiro is a summit which culminates at 216 meters above sea level and on which stands an old mill. Next to it, a gîte offers beds and cutlery.
There is hardly any accommodation in Vale Seco, but this one is all the nicer.
The mills are open and can be visited.
We paid €20 per person for the very tasty dinner (bread with a choice of cheese and ham - vegetable soup - vegetarian / or fish casserole and fruit).
