The square has evolved over the centuries. In the 16th century, it was a place of entertainment for the inhabitants of Zaragoza. Before, in the 13th century, it was a cemetery. After the devastating civil war in 1939, it was expanded and given its current appearance, with gardens, trees and parking lots.
If you have the opportunity, I recommend visiting this space full of history and vitality. 😊
