On a hillside terrace with a forest clearing, high above Gandria, lies the large prehistoric cup-shaped stone known as Sasso della Predescia. Enigmatic symbols, cup-shaped depressions (cupelli), and crosses have been carved into it by human hands. It also provides a magnificent vantage point over Lake Lugano.
