Recharge your batteries, relax, take your time. Guests have been coming to Bad Salzhausen since the early 19th century. The spa was already well-known for its healing powers back then, during the time of Justus von Liebig. He attested that the saline water that flows from the springs here had healing properties. The spa park is one of the oldest in Germany. It runs right through the town and was laid out in 1827. Today it covers an area of 54 hectares. Embedded in a beautiful natural landscape, there are over 300 types of trees and a unique botanical diversity, which visitors are happy to see on expert guided tours. In the middle of the park are the historic spa house, the graduation building and the Landgrafenteich.
