The monument to Ľudovít Štúr in Bratislava is an important monument dedicated to one of the most important figures in Slovak history. Ľudovít Štúr (1815–1856) was a key figure in the national revival and development of Slovak literature and culture in the 19th century.
The monument to Ľudovít Štúr was unveiled in 1903, in honor of his contribution to Slovak national identity and culture. It is located on Náměstí Ľudovíta Štúr, which is located near the historical center of Bratislava.
The monument is the work of sculptor Jozef Kimbel and is made of bronze. Its main elements are:
Statue of Ľudovít Štúr: Štúr is depicted in a standing position, dressed in period clothing from the 19th century. The statue expresses his personal authority and intellectual power.
Pedestal: The monument stands on an impressive stone-bronze pedestal, which contains inscriptions and decorative elements. The inscriptions on the pedestal contain quotes and names of important personalities who were associated with the national revival.

The monument to Ľudovít Štúr is a symbol of Slovakia's national and cultural heritage.

There are few public squares in the city that can boast such a turbulent - and symbolic - past as this square. This turbulent past can also be seen in the frequent renaming of the square.
In 1972, a monument to the codifier of the Slovak written language, Ľudovít Štúr, was erected on the former coronation hill.
