The viewpoint Faulhorn offers an overwhelming view of all mountain giants of the Bernese Oberland. Opposite the view sweeps over the foothills of the Alps, the Emmental, the middle and the Jura up to the Baden Black Forest and the Alsatian Vosges. Seven Swiss lakes are visible: to the east of Lake Zug and Lake Lucerne, at the foot of Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, and to the west of Lake Biel, Lake Murten and Lake Neuchâtel.

The Berghotel Faulhorn (meaning lazy rock), 2,681 m, is the oldest mountain hotel in Switzerland. From up here you can enjoy an overwhelming 360 ° panorama. Almost unchanged, the mountain hotel has survived since its construction in 1830. It was an admirable achievement for the time and deserves our respect today.
