An expressive sculpture was unveiled at Emssee in 2018 by the renowned painter, sculptor and art historian Dr. Wilfried Koch created. Its title is "The knot in the yarn - Spinner family in the Wiedenbrücker Senne". The BRONZE SCULPTURE shows a 19th-century crazy family of three living in need and misery.

A historical inventory by the Wiedenbrück district administrator from the 19th century states: "The weavers are so poor that the spinner often cannot even get money from them. In the Wiedenbrück district ... the situation is even sadder. Misery, hardship and misery are the lot of the home yarn spinners in these areas. There are no words to describe their situation. Hunger typhus is, if not already present, then at least inevitable."
