The Town Hall of Frankenberg (Eder) is located between the Obermarkt and the Untermarkt in the historic center of the city. It is considered one of the oldest half-timbered houses in Germany.

The historic town hall of Frankenberg stands between Obermarkt and Untermarkt. It was built between 1509 and 1513 after the previous building fell victim to a city fire. In the basement there was, as was customary in medieval and early modern town halls, a large market hall (›Schirn‹). The upper floors of the half-timbered building have been slated up since the 18th century. The 10 towers are supposed to represent the 10 guilds of the city. The small carved 'atlases', figures which protrude and the two large clocks are worth seeing.
