The small town of BANNEUX in Belgium has the same significance for pilgrims as Fatima in Portugal or Lourdes in the French Pyrenees (see komoot.de/highlight/3081717 ), places where the Virgin Mary appeared to people and left a message.
Germany also has traditional Marian pilgrimage sites such as Kevelaer (North Rhine-Westphalia) or Altötting (Bavaria), where a miraculous image is venerated but which are not places of Marian apparitions.
