From the towns of Leadville and Fairplay, the 13,748 foot tall Mount Sheridan appears to be a giant pyramid in the Mosquito Mountains and the highest peak in the range. It's actually shorter than a lot of the 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks surrounding it. This peak offers a lot of privacy compared to its neighbor Mount Sherman, and there are a handful of route and loop options for people comfortable with talus hopping and off-trail navigation.
