The Sauerbrunnen is not far from the municipality of Kesten in the forest of the Dreiselbachtal. Its water comes from a depth of around 15-20 meters.
Due to the high iron content, the frame is colored rusty brown. The Sauerbrunnen water has a thirst-quenching effect and stimulates the circulation and metabolism. The Romans also used the acidic water to treat wounds. Even Julius Caesar is said to have drank at this spring.
In the immediate vicinity of the Sauerbrunnen there is a refuge and a water treading pool.

Well - you can definitely drink. But to do that, you should like the smell of rotten eggs. The water is very rich in iron and sulfur.
It's not my taste, however - wine is much better there!
