Town mill, Glurns
The mill stream branching off from the Etsch served those tradesmen who needed the water to manufacture or process their products. The town mill (St.-Pankratius-Gasse 8) was recently restored. At the back you can catch a glimpse of the mill wheel, which, like the grinding mechanism, is now fully functional again. Remains of a fresco depicting the former guild symbol of the millers can be seen on the street-side outer wall: a mill wheel held by two lions.
