From here you have a beautiful view of Loch Shiel, the 4th longest loch in Scotland. It is a freshwater lake, and has special protection given to it for the number of bird species resident here. Interestingly, the rugged peaks either side are seldom visited as none of them reach 'Munro status'.

Nice view on the over Shiel, if the viaduct and the monument should be crowded. The view with the mountains in sunshine ... a dream

By the way, the lake is immortalized in the Harry Potter films as the lake of Hogwarts. You can still imagine the hippogriff over the water and the grandstands of the trimagic tournament ...
