            Chrüzegg

            The Chrüzegg (1265 m) is a small mountain pass for hikers from the Toggenburg region into the Zurich Oberland, offering exceptionally beautiful views of Lake Zurich, Lake Constance, and the St. Gallen Oberland, Glarus, Central Switzerland, and Bernese Alps.

            Since the Chrüzegg, with its cozy and traditional mountain inn, can only be reached by hiking trail, this area is a true hiker's paradise. Over twenty hiking routes lead to the beautiful viewpoint from various starting points, including Wattwil, Liechtensteig, Ricken, Atzmännig, Dietfurt, Mühlrüti, and others, with hikes lasting at least an hour.

            Newly built in 1998, the mountain inn features a large terrace and rooms/dormitory accommodation, making it ideal for hikers, bikers, or vacationers, as well as for weddings, family celebrations, corporate events, or club events. There is also an Alpine cheese dairy where all the milk from the alpine pastures is processed and marketed.

                          The pass crossing is dominated by a mountain restaurant with a large terrace that looks a bit deserted from an architectural point of view. When closed, hot and cold drinks can be purchased through self-service.
