The small nature reserve is home to a large number of biotopes, including semi-arid grassland and bush forest with the associated fringe communities. There are many protected animal and plant species here. The occurrence of the Violetter Dingel (Limodorum abortivum) orchid, which only thrives in a few places in Germany, deserves special mention.
