      The seventh planet viewed from the sun is one of the outer, Jupiter-like gas planets. Physically, Uranus is comparable to Neptune. These two are also referred to as 'Ice Giants' due to the vast amounts of ice they contain inside.

      Like the other gas giants, Uranus consists almost entirely of hydrogen and helium with no solid surface to walk on.
