"Oral tradition says that here, on the 15th of August, the day of the Assumption of Mary, many years ago, a miracle happened. A terrible storm was raging and the ships at sea would easily have sunk if not for the top of the cliff above the Bay of the Moon appeared to Mary. The sea immediately calmed down, the storm stopped, and the sailors were not killed. The locals put up a cross in thanks, and even today they tell of the footprints and tears imprinted in the stone, where Mary wept to save the sailors. Long time to come after that, passing ships blew their trumpets in thanks to Mary."
